Part 1 Greenhouse verification
Operators should first submit information such as the location, area, structure and related facilities of the plastic greenhouse, and apply to the quarantine department. After passing the review, the qualified poly greenhouse number will be issued, and the poly greenhouse approved list will be provided to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the United States Department of Agriculture for reference every year.
Plastic greenhouse verification and inspection items:
1 Main structure of the poly greenhouse: 0.6mm insect-proof nets or other insect-proof facilities will be installed.
2 Floor in the polythene greenhouse: There must be no cracks on the floor under the walkway and the planting bed.
3 Entrances and exits of polythene greenhouse: Poly greenhouse automatic closing doors and double-layer door designs are adopted, and 0.6mm insect-proof nets are installed according to the structural needs.
4 Tightness of poly greenhouse: : Fill and prevent blockage of gaps in vents, fan drip holes, etc.
5 Planting bed of poly greenhouse:: The height of the planting bed should be at least 46 cm above the ground, and the planting bed bracket should be wrapped with copper sheets or other equipment that can effectively prevent mollusks from climbing, and there should be no gaps at the joints.
6 Medium in poly greenhouse:: Aquatic plants that have been disinfected, insecticidal, and sterilized.
7 Irrigation water source for plastic greenhouse: limited to boiled or disinfected rainwater, clean well water, tap water or other disinfected water sources.
8 Packaging and storage sites for plastic greenhouse: Hang yellow sticky boards and any holes smaller than 0.6mm.
9 In the plastic greenhouse: no plants, stumps, soil (mud and gravel), weeds or pests are allowed.

Part 2 Phalaenopsis moved to the designated verification plastic greenhouse
1 The mother plant of the orchid seedlings moved into the poly greenhouse for cultivation must be inspected by the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine personnel within 60 days before the move to prove that it is not infected with any diseases and pests.
2 The source of the plants exported to the United States must meet the regulations of seedlings produced in the poly greenhouse, the mother plant has been cultivated in Taiwan for at least 9 months, the imported mother plant has been cultivated in Taiwan for at least 12 months, or has been cultivated for at least 9 months after quarantine treatment.
3 If the plants that have been moved into the designated poly greenhouse need to be moved to another designated plastic greenhouse for continued growth during the cultivation process, they must apply to the local branch of the Bureau of Animal and Plant Inspection and Quarantine, and then be properly packaged and covered with 0.6mm insect-proof nets in the original designated polythene greenhouse, and moved under the supervision of quarantine personnel.
Part 3 Regular inspection of polythene greenhouse
1 Work log inspection for polythene greenhouse: The work log records regular cleaning, disinfection and insect-proofing work items, records the cultivation operation process and the batch number of each batch of plants moved in, etc.
2 Polythene greenhouse facility inspection: The ground is clean and free of sand, weeds, stumps or fallen leaves, the automatic closing doors at the entrances and exits operate normally, and the insect-proof nets inside and outside the greenhouse, outside the door, and the ventilation holes of each vent and fan are intact, without damage or pores larger than 0.6 mm.
3 Polythene greenhouse planting bed inspection: The planting bed is clean and free of soil, sand, gravel, and weeds, and the mollusk anti-climbing device (copper sheet) of the planting bed support should be in effective condition.
4 Inspection of packaging and storage sites for plastic greenhouse : Keep the sites clean and tidy, free of dirt, sand, weeds, plant residues or fallen leaves, and regularly inspect and maintain pest control facilities to prevent pest invasion.
5 Inspection of cultivation media in plastic greenhouse : Cultivation media (water plants) must be regularly disinfected, sterilized and stored in a clean, pest-free storage location, and samples are taken from the plant pots for nematode inspection.
6 Inspection of irrigation water for polythene greenhouse: The water source for greenhouse cultivation must meet quarantine requirements, and samples are taken for nematode inspection.
7 Inspection of the occurrence of pests in the polythene greenhouse: Regularly check the types of insects on the yellow sticky insect cardboard around the inside and outside of the poly greenhouse, and supervise the replacement of the yellow sticky insect cardboard every month; check the cultivated plants and media in the poly greenhouse to confirm that there are no pests.

Part 4 Quarantine before export
1 Before Phalaenopsis is exported, it must be cultivated continuously for more than 4 months in a certified polythene greenhouse, and quarantine must be declared 30 days before export.
2 The outer packaging must indicate the product name, producer code and plastic greenhouse number. If exported by a third party, the export plant quarantine certificate must indicate the production name.
3 Plants that pass the quarantine must be properly protected during packaging, storage and shipment to prevent infection by pests.
