1,200 New Orchid Debuts in China's Qingzhou: Who's the Showstopper?
On April 14, the 2025 3rd Phalaenopsis New Variety Exhibition was held at the Jinnianhua Phalaenopsis R&D Distribution Center in Qingzhou City, Shandong Province. The center has a new high-standard plastic greenhouse of 300,000 square meters, equipped with an intelligent seed beds for planting system, providing an ideal environment for Phalaenopsis cultivation. The exhibition exhibited more than 1,200 new Phalaenopsis products from more than 40 companies at home and abroad, attracting more than 1,000 practitioners to visit and exchange ideas.

The exhibition was hosted by Shandong Zhaoer Flower and Horticulture Co., Ltd., Qingzhou Flower Industry Development Service Center, and Qingzhou Mihe Town People's Government. Exhibiting

companies include international brands such as Anzu and Forna, as well as many well-known domestic companies. At the exhibition site, colorful Phalaenopsis orchids were neatly displayed on modern seed beds for planting, complementing the advanced plastic greenhouse environment and showing extremely high diversity.

Entering the exhibition area, visitors can see various types of Phalaenopsis orchids blooming in stands that simulate greenhouse environments, with a wide variety of species, from large flowers to miniature ones. An expert said: "Compact and mini Phalaenopsis orchids are easy to mass-produce in plastic greenhouses and suitable for e-commerce transportation, so they have good market prospects." Many new products have not yet been named and are only displayed by number, but their unique colors and flower shapes have attracted many eyes.

The new varieties exhibited by Anthura, such as 'Catania' and 'Livorno', have fresh colors and unique petal textures. These varieties are cultivated on smart seed beds for planting to ensure consistent growth and high quality. Varieties such as 'Striker' and 'Anagram' brought by Fornari have good branching and large flower volume, thanks to its advanced greenhouse temperature control technology and seedbed management solutions.

The varieties exhibited by Zhangzhou Jubao, such as 'Little Dragon Girl' and 'Dream Catcher', are colorful and suitable for the New Year market. Deputy General Manager Hu Huazhen introduced: "Our new varieties are cultivated on multi-layer planting beds, which increases the yield per unit area. At the same time, the precise light and temperature control technology of the plastic greenhouse ensures stable quality." Colorful Horticulture's new products, such as 'Lisa' and 'Persian Cat', have beautiful flower shapes and a high double-stem rate, showing the advantages of modern greenhouse production.

Dinghan Orchid Industry brought more than 120 new varieties, among which the purple series 'Lucky Snow' attracted much attention. General Manager Su Junming said: "Our greenhouse is equipped with an automated seed beds for planting, which can accurately control humidity and light to ensure bright and consistent flower colors." Super Flower's varieties such as 'Little Lion' and 'Gemini' are particularly eye-catching on the seedbed display racks in the exhibition area, reflecting the combination of professional breeding and greenhouse cultivation.

The Phalaenopsis orchids produced by Guangdong Foshan Lvjulong Company are famous for their clear and elegant colors. General Manager Wei Nanbin said: "The new varieties we cooperated with Taiwan were cultivated in smart greenhouses and combined with multi-layer seedbed technology, which greatly improved production efficiency." Qingzhou local companies such as Jinxiu Orchid Industry and Yatai Flowers have also cultivated many new and unique varieties with advanced plastic greenhouses and seedbed management technology, attracting a large number of professional visitors.

In addition, the exhibition also brought together companies such as flower materials and temperature control equipment, showcasing full industry chain solutions from seed beds for planting to plastic greenhouses, providing all-round technical support for the Phalaenopsis industry. The Jinnianhua Phalaenopsis R&D and Distribution Center serves as the venue for the exhibition. Its 300,000 square meters of high-standard plastic greenhouses and intelligent seedbed systems in the 800-acre park have become a model for modern production in the industry.
