Here comes our another new greenhouse project :7000 square meters double roof arch plastic greenhouse for Phalaenopsis is under construction at Qindao,Shangdong province, North China.
Guangdong flowerking greenhouse co.,Ltd, established in the year of 2007, professional in making greenhouse, including plastic polytunnel greenhouse for orchids, plastic greenhouse ,glass greenhouse, Polycarbonate greenhouse. design, production and installation of plastic greenhouse, Completed projects with an area of more than 1 million square meters of greenhouses.
What are the advantages of plastic greenhouse over glass greenhouse and polycarbonate greenhouse for growing Phalaenopsis?
For the cultivation of Phalaenopsis, plastic greenhouse may not be as good as glass greenhose and polycarbonate greenhouse in some aspects, but plastic greenhouse also has its unique advantages in terms of cost, lightness and applicability. The following are the main advantages of plastic greenhouse over glass greenhouse and polycarbonate greenhouse:
1. Plastic greenhouse has lower construction and maintenance costs
The construction and maintenance costs of plastic greenhouse is generally lower than those of glass greenhouse and polycarbonate greenhouse. Polypropylene film materials are more economical and suitable for farms or greenhouse projects with limited budgets or large-scale commercial cultivation.
The material cost of glass greenhouses is higher, and due to the heavy weight of glass, the cost of transportation and installation is also higher. Although polycarbonate greenhouses have better insulation and weather resistance, the material itself is more expensive than polypropylene greenhouses, and the installation is complicated.
2. Plastic greenhouse is light and easy to install
Polypropylene greenhouses are very light, and the installation process is easier than glass greenhouses and polycarbonate greenhouses. Because the materials of polypropylene greenhouses are light, the construction period is shorter, and labor and transportation costs will also be reduced.
Glass greenhouses require more support structures due to the weight and fragility of glass, and special care is required during construction, and installation is relatively cumbersome.
Polycarbonate greenhouses are relatively heavy and complex in structure, requiring more professional technical support during installation, especially the assembly of double or multi-layer polycarbonate panels.
3. Flexibility and mobility of polypropylene greenhouses
Polypropylene film greenhouses can be designed into different shapes and sizes according to needs, and are more flexible. If it is a temporary or seasonal planting project, the mobility of polypropylene greenhouses makes it a very good choice. Polypropylene greenhouses can be adjusted or relocated according to the needs of different seasons or crops.
Glass greenhouses and polycarbonate greenhouses are usually fixed, and once built, they are not easy to move or change, which is suitable for long-term stable use.
4. Polypropylene film greenhouses have good light transmittance
Polypropylene film greenhouses have good light transmittance and can provide enough sunlight to promote the photosynthesis of Phalaenopsis. Although the light transmittance of polypropylene film greenhouses is not as good as that of glass greenhouses, it can still meet the needs of Phalaenopsis for sunlight.
Glass greenhouses have very good light transmittance, but polypropylene film greenhouses can, in some cases, provide light intensity suitable for the growth of Phalaenopsis by adjusting the thickness or material of the film, and sometimes avoid the negative impact of excessive sunlight on Phalaenopsis.
5. Polypropylene greenhouses have good temperature control
Although polypropylene greenhouses have poorer thermal insulation than polycarbonate greenhouses, they still have a certain thermal insulation effect, especially if double-layer film is installed in polypropylene greenhouses or a hot air circulation system is added, it can still keep warm in cold seasons and adapt to warmer climate conditions.
Although glass greenhouses have good light transmittance, due to the high thermal conductivity of glass, glass greenhouses have poor thermal insulation effects, especially at night and in cold seasons, and often require additional heating equipment to maintain temperature.
6. Polypropylene greenhouses have strong UV resistance
Some versions of polypropylene greenhouses (especially polypropylene films treated with UV rays) can effectively block UV rays and avoid strong sunlight from damaging plants, especially for light-sensitive plants such as Phalaenopsis.
The light transmittance of polycarbonate greenhouse is lower than that of glass greenhouse, but it can filter some harmful ultraviolet rays, which is suitable for plants such as Phalaenopsis that need moderate light.
Glass greenhouse has no ultraviolet filtering effect, and long-term direct sunlight may cause damage to some plants.
7. Polypropylene greenhouse has lower maintenance cost
Polypropylene greenhouse is relatively simple to maintain, and the film is easy to replace when damaged, and the cost is low. After a period of use, only the film part needs to be replaced, and there is no need for large-scale repair of the entire polypropylene greenhouse structure.
Once the glass greenhouse is damaged, the repair cost is high and the repair process is cumbersome.
Polycarbonate greenhouse also has certain maintenance requirements, especially for double-layer or multi-layer greenhouses, cleaning and maintenance are relatively complicated.
